  • The Slotted Drive System or Slotted Drive Shaft bit is designed for drilling into very hard materials such as concrete.
  • SDS bits are inserted into the chuck to make a rotary hammer or a hammer drill.
  • SDS Plus has 4 splines in the bit shank that hold it more securely inside the chuck.
  • The shank size is 10mm.
  • The tip is made of tungsten carbide and is exceptionally hard.
  • Always use SDS bits with a special SDS power drill.
  • When drilling very thick holes, it is advised to start with thinner drill bits and to work your way up to the thick-sized hole you require.
  • Frequently withdraw to remove the dust.
  • The stop-start drilling action prevents the bit from overheating.
  • When drilling multiple holes, make sure you lubricate the drill or give it a chance to cool down.
