- Carbon steel hole saws are used for making large holes in wood, plastic, plasterboard, and soft sheet metal with a maximum cutting depth of approximately 25mm.
- Ideal for large holes i.e. plumbing pipes.
- The central drill bit is part of the detachable accessory known as the arbor.
- The arbor + drill bit is simply screwed to the blade before cutting commences.
- When a clean splinter-free hole is needed, drill from both sides, this requires a pilot hole to be drilled through the object.
- This will transfer the centre mark to the opposite side for perfect alignment.
